Recently, the Penang State Legislative Assembly passed a motion demanding RM 4.7 billion as compensation from the Federal government for its (Federal govt.) failure to make good on electoral campaign promises such as PORR, monorail, etc. While campaigning, they gave the impression that there was a need for these projects. However, upon loosing the Penang State government, they immediately reneged on their campaign promises, just so to punish the Penang electorate. It is tragic that the BN government has responded so negatively to the election results and thereby exhibiting their true colors, i.e. they never had the interests of the Rakyat at heart.
And, like a spoilt brat throwing his tantrums, the dimwit Prime Minister BADawi even declared "What money? For what? What has it spent on that it wants compensation for?"
